Since our founding, Lapis Family Services has positively impacted the lives of families across the area and supported them with essential services such as tutoring, parenting development sessions and help with accessing SEN education.

We can offer support for parental EHCP applications; attend school meetings with you; help with Appeal paperwork, or any other special needs support you may require. Throughout the year, we host a variety of courses for parents and other adults, focusing on children with neurodivergent needs, as well as those experiencing high levels of anxiety and trauma-related behaviour.

We provide both supervised and supported contact services, along with specialized advocacy services that help children and young people advocate for themselves and make informed decisions. Additionally, we offer court reporting to assist in legal matters. Our sessions may take place in local community venues, outdoor facilities, or, where safe and appropriate, in residential properties.

Clare has an extensive career working with families in need and providing them with family coaching. She has successfully turned around failing schools in London and now works for the council evaluating the effectiveness of Safeguarding in their schools. Clare is a qualified Coach with an intuitive understanding of the needs of each family member—especially in times of crisis.
Her vision for LFS is to impact the lives of the families positively who turn to us in their hour of need; offering services that include coaching to help them thrive.

Helen has extensive experience in school leadership both in the UK and abroad. Most notably, she campaigned for an historical school in Poole to secure the funding it needed for extensive building work, successfully leading to the school's reconstruction. Alongside her work in education, she is a strong advocate for relational practice, a transformative approach that prioritises the quality of relationships. This leads to a more supportive atmosphere for everyone, ensuring that children and families are afforded the respect they deserve.

Michelle survived the Social Care system as a child and has empathy for anyone going through similar challenges, especially those who need family coaching or special needs support. She is a qualified SENCo, Headteacher, and an international school inspector. Michelle also lectures on the National Professional Qualifications for educators and provides tutoring for trainee Executive Leaders, Headteachers and SENCos. Her vision for LFS is to offer a unique experience to families who may have been bruised by the system in the past - Connection with Care.

Supported contact and supervised contact services are essential for families navigating challenges. We offer a range of services including court reporting, family coaching, special needs support, and tutoring to meet your unique requirements. Our goal is to assist families in connecting, regardless of their location.
